Widening Access & Improving Participation in Higher Education
15 March 2012 | One Wimpole Street, London
Time: 08:45 – 16:30

The recent publication of the 'Higher Education White Paper: Students at the Heart of the System' in June 2011, reflected the Governments' continued commitment to promote fair access and widen participation in all parts of higher education, from initial course applications to lecture room teaching.
To promote fairer access the government will provide financial support for low income full-time students and introduce a National Scholarship Programme in 2012; an injection of £150 million to help students' access higher education.
At a time of significant reform, this event will provide an opportunity for key stakeholders in the Higher Education sector to hear the government's latest plans and measures to improve access and widen participation for all. On the day, delegates will have an opportunity to network with key decision makers, colleagues and peers to share best practice and future plans.
BrowseAloud will be exhibiting at this event to highlight the importance of building an equal, diverse and all-inclusive environment for students. At the stand, delegates can network with our accessibility experts, and trial the leading accessibility software on their very own academic website.
