To Download BrowseAloud please select from the following options:
Download Instructions
Make sure your computer is running Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 and please close any previous versions of BrowseAloud.
- Please click on the PC Download button above.

When the download screen appears as below please choose Save (save the file locally on your PC) and not Run

After BrowseAloud has
downloaded, close the download complete dialog and double click the BrowseAloud.exe. The following
message may appear. Please press "More options" and choose Always run software from "textHELP Systems Ltd." to prevent this message from appearing in the
future and then click Run.

The first screen
you will be presented with is the License Agreement. You need to choose the
"I accept the license agreement" radio button then click Next.:

- A Read Me dialog contains some accessibility information. Once you have read this information, click next.

- The final dialog screen explains the BrowseAloud icons.
Once you have read this information, click finish.

Due to the variation of default browsers for different versions of Android, we recommend using a browser which is standard across all device types and manufacturers, e.g. Google Chrome.
The following instructions provide a general overview of adding bookmarks and bookmarklets in Android. Please note that the buttons and menu commands of your device may differ from these screenshots. If you encounter any difficulties, please first check the manufacturer's documentation for your device.
- Copy the text below (in blue) by completing the following steps:
- Hold one finger on the text until the text selection tools appear.
- Drag the selection to include all the text and select "Copy" on your device.
- Android 2.x / 3.x: Launch Browser and click the bookmark button on the address bar to create a bookmark
Android 4.x: Launch Browser, press the "Menu" button on your device and choose "Save to Bookmarks" or "Bookmark this Page" - Paste the copied text into the Address box and click OK
- The bookmark is now added. To launch BrowseAloud Plus:
Android Default Browser:- Tap the "Bookmarks" button to the right of the address bar
- Tap the "BrowseAloud Plus" bookmark
- Tap the address bar
- Begin to the type the name of the bookmark i.e. "BrowseAloud Plus"
- Tap the bookmark in the list of options which appears under the address bar
- Tap the "Bookmarks" button to the right of the address bar

button and click "View Bookmarks Toolbar" from the menu
- Drag the following link onto the Bookmarks Toolbar.
