Reading text using the Speech menu
You can use the Speech menu options to read text aloud. If you cannot see this menu, click here.
The main Speech menu options that allow you to read text aloud, are as follows:
Start Speech (Control + + S) - select this option and then hover your mouse over an area of text on the web page to hear the text being read aloud. You can hover your mouse over sentences, captions, images and so on. An image name will only be read aloud if the person who created the website has included a name
Previous Section (Control + + P) - select this option to speak the previous section of text aloud
Next Section (Control + + N) - select this option to speak the next section of text aloud
Stop Speech (Control + + S) - select this option to stop the system from reading the text aloud.
You can only see the Stop Speech menu option when Browsealoud is reading text aloud, and the Start Speech menu option when it is not.
